When you arrive
When you arrive for our worship service, you’ll find a vibrant community of committed followers of Christ. We hope you’ll quickly realize we genuinely love God and others. We aspire to contradict any negative stereotypes of Christians, and we gather in a warm and optimistic environment of grace.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code at RBC — please come as you are. You’ll find people wearing jeans and maybe a few wearing ties. We’re much more interested in you being here than in what you wear. It’s our goal to make you feel welcome and give you some space to experience our service and our community. You won’t be asked to introduce yourself, and no one expects a first-time guest to place a gift in the offering plate when it’s passed.
What happens in the service?
Our worship service features a blend of contemporary praise music and timeless hymns. We usually read part of God’s Word out loud together. And each week our pastor presents a practical message from the Bible we think you’ll be able to apply to your life.
What about my children?
All children are welcome in our services! For those who wish, we also have excellent, safe and loving nursery care for infants and toddlers (ages 8 weeks to 23 months in separate rooms). Grade school-age children are always part of the worship service for the first half, and then may stay for the rest of the service or may go with capable teachers to Kids’ Church for an age-appropriate Bible lesson. Following the lesson, younger kids do crafts and games, and older children share in age-appropriate discussion. We’re confident your children will love our Kids’ Church!
Is there anything else I need to know?
As a visitor or new attendee, you are welcome to complete a Connect Card, if you wish, and place it in the offering plate. Or you may wish to complete our online version. The Connect Card tells us you were here and why (looking for a church, checking out the whole “Christianity” thing, just visiting, etc.). And while we ask for your contact info, we won’t plan to visit you or share it with anyone else – it’s just so we can drop you a line and let you know how much your visit meant to us.
After the service, we gather downstairs or outdoors for coffee and refreshments, and we hope you’ll join us! It’s a good chance to connect, meet new people, and get to know us a little better.
Everyone is welcome at RBC! Please come as you are, but expect to leave encouraged and inspired. We hope to see you soon!
