Here are some exciting ministry updates and opportunities at Ridgefield Baptist Church for the fall of 2015. For more information about any of the following opportunities, feel free to email info@ridgefieldbaptist.org.
Ridgefield Kids Club
Serving children ages 4 through 5th grade, RKC is on a mission to help our kids grow in their relationship with God. This new ministry begins on Sunday, September 20th. The club will meet the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month from 6:00-7:30pm at Ridgefield Baptist Church. Each club night there will be a Bible lesson, small group time where Bible memory occurs, music, and games. Each child who registers will receive a Kids Club notebook, t-shirt, and drawstring backpack. Please see the RKC ministry page for registration and details: http://www.ridgefieldbaptist.org/web/ministries/kids-club/.
“Connect “and Community Groups
Connecting with other believers is an important part of the Christian life. Beginning in September, and meeting twice per month, community groups are modeled after 1 Thessalonians 5:11, “Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” This fall’s community groups look forward to prayer, fellowship, and diving deeper into the themes of the Sunday messages. Community Groups welcome families and singles as well as Christians and seekers of all ages. Groups meet on Tuesday and Sunday evenings.
Beginning this October ladies will meet for a six week interactive Bible Study titled, “Burning Desire: a study of Obadiah and Malachi.” This group will meet every 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings of the month.
In addition to our regular community groups, RBC Girls Groups (girls from 6th – 12th grade) meet every Wednesday evening from 7:15-8:45pm.
Adult Sunday School
RBC provides Sunday School for adults and children of all ages. The theme for our general adult Sunday School class this fall is “The Gospel in a Pluralistic World.” Consisting of six lessons each, the class will pair together two video series that move in a similar direction: Tim Keller’s Reason for God and Russell’s Moore’s Onward. The class will watch a 15-20 minute video and follow with discussion.
In addition to the general adult Sunday School class, a Ladies Class meets weekly to study “That the World May Know.”
Children at RBC will continue their study from The Gospel Light.
