Have you ever paused to consider how the size of a local church might affect the leadership style? In his article, “Leadership and Church Size Dynamics,” Tim Keller suggests that a church’s size can have a greater influence on how it operates than polity or even denomination: “The difference between how churches of 100 and 1,000 function may be much greater than the difference between a Presbyterian and a Baptist church of the same size.” There is a lot of good insight throughout the article so I will resist the temptation to restate it here. Suffice to say that this is a good read for every Christian and a must read for those in church leadership.
